All the inhabitants of the Kerekutca - from the chattering girls, to the lads testing their strength and dexterity, to the old shepherd, to the proposing woman - are all everyday oddities, but likeable characters, important parts of the community. There is something to learn from each of them that will guide you through the thousand corners of the Kerekutca. Because the village, which comes alive in the colourful whirl of music and dance, and the adventures that weave between the houses, becomes part of every spectator, listener, singer and dancer in the blink of an eye.
The Kerekutca is not only about Varga Julcsa and Basa Pista, but about all of us, children and adults, human relationships at the same time.
